Burstrong 20D is an amphoteric dry-strength agent to increase the strength properties of paper and paperboards. As amphoteric polyacrylamide, Burstrong 20D improves dry strength and z‐direction strength. Because it can be applied at a wide range of pH, Burstrong is available to be used in acid and alkaline conditions. Especially, it improves retention and drainage capacity due to the excellent fix ability of fines and anionic trash.
